Hasselblad 39MP DSLR cameras
Hi,
I'm not sure you heard it before yet, but Singapore's getting their shipments of Hasselblad cameras which packs a whopping 39 Megapixel. More reviews of the H2D-39 model are available here.
"The H2D-39 camera, besides its high resolution, also features digital auto-focusing and the Hasselblad V camera lens system. The camera uses Digital APO Correction Technology, which means images are automatically optimised to give the finest details, and best colors.
Along with the camera are three 39-megapixel digital back products: the CFH-39, CF-39 and CF-39MS that can be used interchangeably with the H2 line of Hasselblad cameras. H2D-39 and the three camera backs will be available for ordering in March.
The H2D-39 costs S$54,900, the CFH-39 and the CF-39 are both priced at S$56,900, and the CF-39MS priced at S$67,900. Note the prices quoted in Singapore dollars."

Marcus,
After I did the currency conversion, I am still in sticker shock. $29,000+ in US dollars is way too rich for my wallet and I suspect for almost any artist.

Gosh, one can store up to 1,500 images on an 80 GB hard drive!
......Just when my heart was set on possibly 10.2 Megapixels!

OOH! Like the hard drive number. But at only 2.5 time the resolution (don't forget that resolution is the square root of the pixel count) and 24 times the price the Hasselblad makes me think my Nikon D70s is a good value.
Garth, 10m Mp is not enough to make the jump.

Whether it's a D70s, or a 10MP or even the monster 32MP here, it's something I'll have to work really hard to get! But the name Hasselblad does sound sexy enough...lol
