"Marie" head and shoulders

Hello,

I started this painting in the Works in Progress section and finished it off last week. I was finally able to get some good photos of it yesterday so I thought I would post the final version. These photos are showing her lip color way too dark and strong red. In the real painting, they blend in with her face and skin tones much better.

This portrait is meant to be a sample for my portfolio.

Thank you,
Julie

This is lovely, Julie! Why did I miss this? Her skin is so real and touchable. There's a real serenity about this portrait. Can you post some closeups?
