Peggy Baumgaertner's Article, International Artist Magazine (April/May 2002)

"Portraits with Russian Flavor"

This is a wonderfully written article about Peggy's research and experimentation with "sauce" described as a cross between conte and pastel.

The excellent description and explanation of how to use this material is true to Peggy's teaching talent. Beautiful images included? Of course!

Great article, Peggy.

Chris

Thanks, Chris,

I've been off teaching, and missed your very kind comments on this article. I was a little disappointed that they didn't use my original title, "Russian Secret Czar Sauce" (say it out loud ...).

I will be doing a sauce demonstration at the Portrait Society of America conference in Philadelphia. Come by and take a peek if you are in the area!

Peggy
