Hi,

This is a little 11"x14" of my nephew Andy, who was then 2 years old. I had been taking photos of his mother, when he stepped in, curious as to what was going on, and I snapped a couple photos of him. I did this painting in preparation for a larger painting of his whole body. There's two slightly shifted light sources, which hopefully show in his eyes, plus some reflected light on the opposite side. Although this was a quickie, I had some difficulties modeling features, particularly his nose, which is still a little flat on the underside. I'd like to say my difficulties stemmed from the lighting, but well...
