Portrait of 'Grace'

This is 15x21, graphite on light gray Stonehenge. Much less shading than I'm used to, but I am happy with the transition from shade to line. This may have been the most trouble and obstacle free portrait I've ever done.

Jimmie, you are amazing. Wow!

I love the fading-off effect as you go down the figure. It is kind of like a stronger light on the head and the rest fading into the surrounding darkness.

Thanks Mary and Garth.
Garth, I appreciate the comparison made, but it was purely unintentional. Maybe I should say it was my intentions so I can sound like a geen.., geniu.., uh.. geneus, ...a smart guy. Yeah, that's it!
Thanks again.
