Models

Does anyone have any inventive ideas for acquiring interesting and useful models for non-commissioned work? I am not pleased with the models offered by our art league and would like to have more control over whom I paint.

What is the going rate to offer someone to model, say, for a three hour session? Or, how much money would be fair to pay them to pose for a photography session? A lot of times I will see or meet someone who would be a great model, but I am unsure as to what to offer them.

Do any of you share models in a portrait painting group?

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Renee
