"Shaman"

Good evening, everyone,

Thank you Steven for posting this piece for me. It is a 28" x 24" oil painting, and the first piece I've been able to paint during these last two years.

Yes, I have certainly gotten "rusty". So critiques are very welcome. Specifically, I can't seem to quite get the perspective on the nose. Perhaps it's my values that's the problem. I appreciate any help with this piece.

By the way, this is a study from a Fechin painting. The person he painted was much older, in my study, the person has gotten younger.

I'll be back to this painting tomorrow, wish me luck!

Magdalena

Hello, Enzie,

Thank you for your response. Interesting observation because I like Rodin's work. All of the paintings and one drawing are a bit blurry. My trifocals are "acting-up". I will make sure the work is in focus for next post.

This painting, Enzie, is a study that I'm doing after a Fechin painting. It is being done loosely, my joy at the physical act of painting that I've missed.

Thanks again,
Magdalena
