New security and supplies?
I know that some people have recently attended workshops and I was hoping they could share with us their experiences with NEW airline checked baggage security and art supplies.
It is my hope to check most of my supplies for traveling to Arizona with exception to Turpenoid and oil of spike. But I am concerned that tubes of oil paint or Maroger's medium (pre-mixed in plastic clear container) may not pass the test either. I am planning on shipping everything back, but do not want anything confiscated on the way to the workshop. It would be a large investment to replace all of these things once I arrive, and the medium was ordered through Studio Products, which I believe is the only place I think it is available. I will carry on my brushes.
I know Michele has doubled up so she would have tubes on hand to paint, with while shipping things to AZ, but I did not, so do you think my things will be okay? I have tried to ask these questions of Delta through their customer service online, but they have never responded.
I guess my main concern is for my tubes of oil paint. Thanks for any input.

Chris, thanks for those links! I did do a search before I posted this topic. Those are the older security issues. Now the checked baggaged is screened and hand searched, so even more stringent rules apply. So I can not find what - within the USA - rules are. But I know time is running out.
I'll try and call some of my buddy's at Delta in the am and see if I can post some info for all here.
I think my parachute is going to start not opening!

Beth:
Your best bet to be absolutely sure would be to ship your stuff. I would hate to get there and find stuff missing or messed up.
If you have concerns about things getting lost or misplaced by shipping to the school, you could ship it all to me and I could bring it with me - I am driving.
