25th anniversary
I just got a digital camera (finally) and I snapped a double portrait I did 3 years ago for my girlfriend's parents' 25th anniversary. The size is 20" x 16", oil on canvas.
I would like some critique on the color or values that could help me on future projects. I have already found several flaws that bugs me a lot. I hope some more can be pointed out.
Thank you.

Mother Only
I only received the detail of mother, and the teeth need a great deal of quieting down.

Teeth
Thanks, Jeanine. You are absolutely right. Now that I've looked at it again, it really sticks out. If you cannot see the father's detail, right click and chose 'show picture'. That should do the trick. Thanks again.

Eyes Forward
Josef:
The gaze of the husband is forward in the photo, confusing in the painting.

Josef, I like how you changed the position of them in the portrait from the image. As Jean suggested, once you tone down the color of the mother's teeth it will really help in keeping the eye from going right to them. Don

Late reply
Thanks you very much, Jeanine and Elizabeth. Sorry for the late reply. I was swamped at work.
I really appreciate the points both of you have made. This painting was done almost 4 years ago. It bugs me everytime we go over to their place and seeing the flaws. But some of the flaws you pointed out will really help to make better.
I will ask them if I could take the painting home and do the retouches. Thanks again.
