I would like to introduce my self, I am 39 years old, married,and have two children.

I work part time as an artist. I have been drawing portraits for 5 years now. I was thrilled to find this place as it is difficult to find any portrait classes where I live, so I have to find my own way.

Welcome to the Portrait Forum. These Forums can be very helpful for finding one's way. What medium do you work in? This self portrait appears to be pastel. But perhaps it's colored pencil, since I see that you are holding up a pencil. I will look for your posted work.

Aha... I went to your website and see "colored pencil", but will have to work to find my way around because many words are not English.

It is a colored pencil self-portrait I did two years ago.

My home page is mainly in Danish, as I think there are so many home pages about colored pencils in English, but only a very few in Danish.

I am working on an English version.

I also work in watercolor, acrylic and pastel, but most of my art is done in colored pencil.

I went to your home page, your art is very beautiful, I love the soft colors you use!
