Hanna, I can see you now, and you are beautiful! Here is a thought on the tooth of your paper filling in, I saw you were spraying it with fixative, there is a difference of opinion regarding if one should use it at all, I hate what it does to the color of pastel and the feel of my paper. There is a good thread in the section with materials and compostition etc. addressing fixatives. You might want to pop over there and read it.

I couldn't tell if you started your work over or fixed the other one, but did the eyes stay the same? I thought they would "squint" more with the fuller smile? Maybe they are, I can't tell - cause they are just too darn pretty!

Thank you Elizabeth for your compliments!

Regarding more squinting of eyes or not, I was smiling as big with my mouth closed. I actually look quite stupid when I smile like that. What I did was that I just stopped holding my lips together. What I think was did most harm on the paper was actually a black pencil that I used, it did the same thing to another painting I just finished (of a couple of houses).

Now I have to go!
