Sera Sleeping
Hi,
I've enjoyed painting the nude as of late. It encourages freedom of brushwork and the challenge of setting a mood.
Here is a recent painting, "Sera Sleeping" 11" x 14"
Cheers,
Sarah

Beautiful work , Sarah.
I am drawn by the simplicity of the shapes of colour and tone and how these model the form of the figure. I also like very much how the shape of the sheets echoes the shape of the figure. Very well employed economy of strokes.

Hi Sarah,
I think this is a marvelous little painting, one that I could live with every day.
As Carlos said, your economy is fresh and well-executed. You can almost count the brush strokes, a quality I associate with Bettina Steinke's work. Your temperature shifts are so nicely done, and I love the simplicity of her left hand. Very nice!
