Heres the whole painting Lisa, did this for a painting class and due to time restraints had to exclude several figures but I agree with your thoughts about the figure work of Sargent.

Carlos and Lisa believe I was using the book you mentioned. I did this painting from about fifteen feet away and so had to plan each brush stoke very carefully, had a great time with this one!
