Flash photography made simple...or is it?

Hi, i was looking around some information to help improve my photography work for my clients for my portraits, and this flash photography came to me. I even found this website which basically describes what the main ideas in flash photography are about. But when i reached the section on Bounce flash, and there on i found myself at a loss what and how they did the various flash photography techniques. So i thought i'd kick start this discussion topic and allow all of us here to learn about this advanced photography technique.

Here's the page i viewed:

Will someone start the ball rolling?
