Dear Ilaria,
I love the realistic gesture of the girl's pose and stances. I love the shadow cast by the standing girl. It pulls the wall back convincingly.
I also love the personality you captured in each girl's expression, from their stance, separation and expression.
I do agree that the forms could be turned better.
Oh, how I envy those of you who have access to view the greats. Your world, it seems to me, is filled with manna.

I think I might have had the figures overlapping, so there would be more unity in the composition. Moving the younger girl down and to the right might have worked nicely. Their separate glances would have kept the feeling that they are in their own little worlds, but would have brought the painting together a bit more.
Otherwise, I like their natural "unposed" poses and their everyday, colorful little-kid clothes.

Love the pensive expressions, especially the girl standing. Her right hand and the shadows behind it look awkward somehow. Beautiful painting, cute kids .

Garth, Michele, John, thank you for your input and compliments.
I keep reworking here and there and I tried to make the best of your comments and advice.
Too late to move the little girl completely though...
Thank you
Ilaria
