I think I might have had the figures overlapping, so there would be more unity in the composition. Moving the younger girl down and to the right might have worked nicely. Their separate glances would have kept the feeling that they are in their own little worlds, but would have brought the painting together a bit more.

Otherwise, I like their natural "unposed" poses and their everyday, colorful little-kid clothes.
