our sessions are 3 hours, but we don't begin right at time, then the first 1/2 H is always few 5 mn poses, and then begins the long pose. We were supposed to have 2 times 2,5 hours to work on this, but as we take a long break drinking tea and eating cookies, I think 2 times 2 hours would be more exact.
And then, we alternate with a session of 1/2 hour pose maximum.
I like the short poses because it force you to go to the essential, but the long pose is like a reward after...

The shadow is not real shadow as we have fluorescents all over the ceiling, but it was nice to show some volumes on the shadow part of the face. In the beginning they had 2 strong lamps at 2 different places + the fluorescents, so I asked to turn off one of the lamps because the shadows were very confusing...
