Abigail, Granddaughter

Hello,

This is our granddaughter Abigail. The painting is done in pastels on 12x18 tan watercolor paper.

I will try to post a picture of the picture used for this portrait.

Hi,

Here is a close-up so you can see the artwork a little better.

Hope to hear from you.

Hi Rendi,

I found the image overly dark on my monitor. I've taken the liberty of posting a lighter version with some minor colors adjustments for those who also see it as much too dark.

Nice work, Rendi! Such a good subject. Nice colors.

Perhaps I would have made the upper arm a bit shorter, and added the hand, and made the hand more complete than the photo indicates. It would add to the interest.

The eyes were a bit blurry in the original. Perhaps the lines of the eyes are not as clear in the image of your work. I cannot see the tear duct work or the fold of skin over the eye very well. These are details which are important to carefully define. It may be that the eye on the viewer's right may be a tiny bit larger than the other - I nit pick.

Overall, a very nice drawing, which which will be enjoyed for years to come.

Beautiful!

Hi Rendi,

I love what you have done here. I think I like it better this way. Maybe consider cropping it and leave out the arm and most of the green in front of her. I feel as though I have to search for her in the original. Just a thought.

Overall a wonderful painting!

Regards,
Linda
