Kyle
I needed to take a break from a larger portrait I'm doing so I painted this one. Breaks keep me sane
It's 14x18, Oil on Canvas.
I hope you like it!

HI, it's a great work you've done here, and yes it's always good to take breaks away from your normal routines. Kudos to the accurate drawing...just thought you might like to add some reds to your face colors.

Hi Jeremiah,
I wonder if there may be a problem with this site today, because I can't upload your image or any of my own either. I get the message in the manage attachments section, that "the image has only partially uploaded". I have never encounterd this problem before. I hope Cynthia Daniel can check whether the probem is a bug with the Forum site today, or another issue.
Now your wonderful painting:
First of all, I really really like it. You have such an elegant, striking, and commendable painting with lots of bravura countered by your pleasing narrow chroma palette. I really like the simple white-gray-black abstraction. It's refreshing! You certainly have a distinctive style going for you.
Best,
Garth

Jeremiah,
I've also tried to upload your image with no success. Right now the only thing to do is be patient until technical help arrives.
I really like this portrait. It's sensitively done, subtle, and it conveys a sense of the boy's personality.

P.S. Marcus, I just want to remind you to save your critiques for the critiques section--the unveilings section is only for positive comments. Thanks!

Alex, Garth, Marcus - Thank you very much for the kind words!
I've been working too much on really refined work so doing a loose and subtle portrait was fun.
Oh yeah, thanks also to whoever was able to get the image to appear in my post. Thanks Garth and Alex for trying to help me out with uploading the image. Made me feel better that I wasn't the only one having problems with it.
