Alexandra,
Beautiful, all of it
I like your color scale, using the secondary colors, orange, violet and green. And the light is so soft and cool. It reminds me of your landscapes.
I had a Siamese cat like this once.

Alexandra, I keep coming back to look at this. It's so peaceful and homey. The posture of the cat is just perfect (my daughter carries one of our cats around like that all the time ). The skin tones and reflected light on Becca's face are beautiful.

Thank you all! Lisa, thank goodness we can all envy each other's work and be inspired by it! The cool light really was a challenge, especially since my daughter's skin tones border on ivory, she is so pale.
Yes, I guess you can tell I am a cat-person, but I like dogs, too. I just never had dogs growing up because we lived in a very small house in the city.

Alexandra,
Just a few hours ago I was taking photos of my son (teenager) and our cat Mai Tai (also blue point Siamese) am sitting here now and just happened to open your post. How timely! I very much enjoyed seeing your portrayal of similar subject. The painting is just lovely!
