Yesss, something posted of Elizabeth's!

I have missed seeing your work, Elizabeth. I love watching what you do because you are getting so darn GOOD!!! And this portrait is beautiful. She comes alive!

Hope to see some of your work in person, one of these days!!

Wonderful

How very beautiful.....a wonderfully engaging portrait. If I ever decide to try pastels, I am going to go back and study yours.

I remember seeing this in progress, it's come together very nicely. I really dig the dress with the polka dots that fall perfectly into space.

I love her expression, pose and the subtle value changes across her face. This is certainly my favorite piece of yours.

Wonderful pastel, Beth. You seem to have captured this young girl's coy, demure manner, as she transitions into teenhood.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go look up the word "teenhood"...

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts.

Per Marvin's suggestion I have toned down the line work in the background and carried it to the edge. I agreed with him it was fighting the figure with the hard lines. Thanks again Marvin.

Linda this one is gone, much to the moms delight, (this may sound bad but I do love it when they tear up at first glance). So I didn't get a chance to shoot it in your special lighting... but would you pick the bath, or the necessary seat?
