Oil of Mariah
This is the reworked painting from the post in "Unveiling". Almost finished. I decided to keep the colors of the dress a warmer blue, as the rest of the painting is already so cool in value. I had to do alot of work on values here, as the camera screamed wrong!

She's so precious, the angels could scoop her up.
It seems, though, that the rocks were done too quickly. Thank you for showing us your beautiful work.

Yes, too quickly. I am a hurried man. I really need to slow down, they tell me. I think I will go over the whole hurried background. I will post the finished work in a few days. Great comment! I really treasure critiques here by all of my new-found masters, and really should have put this there.

I'm not a master but sometimes I take too much time going over the same spot trying to make it perfect. Maybe someday I'll succeed. Who's to say what makes an accomplished portrait artist?
