Fall From Grace

Oil 24" x 18" on prepared panel.

I took my time on this one, as painful as that was.

There is some glare above her head in the background of the above photo.

Breathtaking

Absolutely beautiful. You make it LOOK effortless. I love the background, too.

Kim, this is truly gorgeous and you deserve a lot of applause. I think your paint handling is subtle and so interesting. I'm also a fan of your mythic metaphors. Congratulations on another wonderful painting.

Sooo gorgeous Kim! Slowing down seems to suit you! You've captured some wonderful subtleties in her skin. The background is changed here from earlier versions.... this one really fits your theme. I like the decisions you made here, and beautifully executed!

Thank you ladies - I appreciate it!

Yeah, I think slowing down is good for me. Kinda like eating vegetables and more salads. It's good for me, just hard to do.

Kim,

You may be slowing down, but your passionate style is still there. This is great. Time to up your price!

Kim,

This is lovely. I feel completely unqualified to comment on the mechanics of why and how it works so well (edges, backgrounds, etc.), but it really does. What grabs me most is the narrative sweep - it's like we are seeing just one frame of a complex story. Who else is there just outside the picture? What is Eve thinking? Is she going to laugh and put the apple down, or is she going to take a big spiteful bite? These are all things I want to know!

Kim -

This is just lovely. I feel I'm echoing other comments, but - it's true. It was worth all your work.....
