The Cartoon by Peggy Baumgaertner

My daughter has just returned from a two day charcoal workshop put on by Margret Carter [Peggy] Baumgaertner. I very much regret not being able to attend with her, however, it was a wonderful trip for her to take alone.

My daughter brought back Peggys' book "Making a cartoon for a head and shoulder portrait." I've just read the book and would recommend it for anyone trying to draw or paint from life.

I'm not sure if this is offered through the forum book shop, always worth checking.

Thanks Peggy for taking good care of my youngin. Even if she waits until she's forty to take up painting, she will never forget the basics that you gave her.
