Hi Kimber,

I thought I'd add my two cents about that... I think that the biggest difference is that vermilion has a different lightfastness than cad red. Vermilion seems to be a little more fragile. This is what I observed when looking at different brands of materials, but I would be grateful if someone who has a broader knowledge of pigments than I have, could confirm or not this observation.
