Jean, you're not kidding that it is a maze. It may be my web design critic coming out but this site might be a whole lot more informative if they did not try and be so creative. They need to use a little more of their left brain so that they can get their right brain information out in a logical manner.

Chaos theory. There is a certain logic in random events. I laughed as far as I got! I felt like a little kid in a candy store.

I agree with Michael. I feel like they are wasting my time. My response is, "what is it that they are trying to say?" I don't have time to figure out what they mean with this stuff. It may be clever for someone on their wave length, but I'm not.

One of the articles above talks about the top/bottom brain theory - not the left/right brain. Perhaps we need a pancake brain theory - after using one side, give it a flip!

Okay, I found it, THE site. There was a study by Standard in Oxford a while back where Humphrey Ocean was scanned while drawing. It shows that there is more brain activity in the frontal regions of the brain in artists. Control showed activity in the visual areas (trying to copy what was seen) compared with higher brain function in Mr. Ocean.

Check this one out. It's not a maze! I've also downloaded the whole study in pdf format, if anyone is interested. I'm not sure how to link to it yet. In the meantime, this one is reeeeealy interesting.

Well, it looks like, from the one photo we have of brain slices with heat spots, that most of the action was going on in the right frontal lobe. It's funny that that is the exact spot that I get my migraines.

I would have liked to have seen more heat spots. The rest of it, we, as artists, already know.
