This is small watercolor commission I just finished. It is about 5" x 8".

I really admire the wide variety of approaches to your work. You aren't stuck in any ruts, Thomasin. Every time I see another one of your pieces, I see more of an artistic range than before. It is a privelage to follow your career as an artist.

Very fine work, Thomasin!
I really like that diagonal, makes a good painting even better.
Am also very impressed by the amount of detail in such a reduced and limited space.

Thomasin,
The way those hooves meet the shadow in the sand is delicious. What edges! Also, I like the way the head just pops above the shoreline, and the white shirt overlaps the pale blue-white water with just the blue shadow to say the shoulder is there. You certainly know how to make a commission so much more!

Thomasin,
This just blows me away! A tiny masterpiece, so poetic and elegant. And it's a watercolor! It is so rare to see such a rich and satisfying gem in this medium. Wow. Just gorgeous.
