Hello

Hi! I've just become an approved member. I have been looking through the site for a few weeks now. I feel like I know everyone already.

Okay, I'll give you a little background about myself. I'm from and still live in Big Spring, Texas. (Why I came back after college - I'll never know) I graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design. I have decided that was a terrible career mistake, so I am now working as an Ophthalmic assistant.

I have always loved art, but I just got into portraits about a year ago. I did a graphite portrait of my son about 8 years ago, but never thought much about it until recently. I have 3 children, so I decided to do a pastel portrait of my daughter. I didn't think it would turn out very great, but I was very surprised. It is shown below.

I really need some professional criticism about my portraits (my family always says everything is great). I am planning to practice, practice, practice, and eventually become a full-time portrait artist. That is my ultimate personal goal in life. I hope I can achieve that!

This is a pastel (Brianna) about 8"x8"
