Hi Allen, I have read all of the introductory information regarding file downloading etc. and seem to be having issues getting it down to the appropriate pixel width and height and 100 kb when I export it from iphoto on my Mac. I have tried again and hope this attachment is larger and easier to see.

Tessa,
I don't know how the Mac system works, but I'll tell how it works on my PC, in Photoshop.
From a high pixel photo I # 1cut the part I need, f.ex. the head, # 2 set the size to max 600 x 400 pix , # 3 save as, and this is where the option to choose the quality / KB shows up.
I can graduate the quality by sliding a scale, typically around 8-9-10 is where the KB is just below 100 KB, and I type OK and save by a new name in JPEG.
Hope this is a help.

I do believe that the value of the shadow under the cap brim is too light, but it is difficult to comment on without being able to see both the reference and the painting in a better quality.
If you want to, you can mail the original reference and a good photo of the painting to me, and I will post it on the forum for you.

Thanks
thank you Allen I will email it. I have been reading through my Mac manuals and trying different methods of attaching the photos. However, I continue to have an issue with sizing it at 100kb and getting the image clear enough.
