This easel looks so tempting to me. Two days ago I just got a commission for a 9ft x 10 ft mural. I occassonally do murals on polyflax mural canvas which I staple to my wall. It's a great system to work on the mural in my studio on my time instead of working in the clients home. The murals are usually very detailed and between teaching and my portrait schedule I usually end up painting a mural at unconventional times like late at night , early on a Sunday , you know , basically times when a client wouldn't want me hanging around. The problem with being stapled to the wall ( the canvas not me) is that I end up laying on the floor in order to paint along the bottom. But after I thought about using this easel there was a whole new set of problems like building a support to apply this large of a canvas to before I could put it on the easel. Nothing is ever easy.

Also I have a shoulder injury, torn tendon on my painting arm, and being able to move any canvas around easily sounds great. Wait a minute- why did I take on this huge job with a bad shoulder ! The doctor took an x ray and said I had the shoulder of someone MUCH older than me then sent me off for an MRI. The results showed a tear but I don't see the doctor until next week so I don't know what is he is going to do.

Well the show must go on. I have already adjusted some of my working habits to accomodate this bum shoulder . I'll just have to figure something out. As far as the easel goes, I 'm looking into shipping charges. The Sorg is probably a better price for me if it includes shipping. I just bought a Cannon Rebel and I would like a longer lens too. Let see... a lens or an easel? Did someone just say nothing is ever easy? Oh ya, that was me!

One thing is for sure though, there is no better job , no better life than being an artist!
