Allan,
What a very beautiful handling of this subject. Great composition and mood. I am envious of your painterly style. Keep up the great work.

I love this painting, Allan! What a powerful, emotional piece, and despite all the strong warm color you have such beautiful controlled brushwork. Please enter this one in some contests, please!

Allan, this is fantastic work, really.
As Linda said it is very emotional and there is a real engagement and relationship between painter and sitter.
Also such a good management of reds
Many compliments

Allan,
My compliments as well. Marvelous bold color. I love the crisp texture you've achieved.

Allan,
Man, great job. I have been dying to do a red piece, and you did a beautiful job of it. Great expression also, it just works on every level.

Thanks Mike,
It felt good to use up some of my old Cadmiums. I used the palette knife mostly for the wall behind, it would not have been possible to achieve the effect in other way. I find it is a good combination to use both knife and brush and fingers to manipulate the paint.
