Yeah, the book. I did all the paper work involved and submitted it to them, but my name does'nt show on the website as an author. I contacted the editor and she said it is included, the website is a mistake. Just to try to put my mind at ease, I counted the names listed, but they already have 100, which makes me think I was'nt included. I'll have to wait and see.

Jimmie - I have a landscape in their How Did You...Flowers & Gardens. They had the book advertised on the website for a long time with a list of authors - but the authors were from a previous book - so I was confused also. Just an unclear system maybe. Don't fret - if the editor says you are there then you are I'm sure.

Jimmie,
Triple congratulations! I think we all knew it was just a matter of time. Your work has such sensuality and humaness, I don't think anyone can resist it!

Thanks for the new comments.

but because, I too am Charlie Brown!

Wow, that's funny. I've always seen myself as Charlie Brown. I don't know that out of all the Charlie Browns in the world, I'm the Charlie Browniest, but it might be close.
As it turns out, my name is now listed on the website as an author for International Artist. It'll look cool on my resume.

And Jimmie, I vote for letting your head swell as big as it can get! I think you should be dancing in the street!

My wife thinks the same way. It bothered her that I was'nt excited to win second place. It bothered her more when I told her that I'm going to use the $1000 to pay bills. I don't know why it does'nt excite me, maybe it does'nt sink in.
I get plenty excited finding a crisp, clean dollar in my pocket that I did'nt know was there.
Thanks again.

Too bad there's no brick-and-mortar show!
Jimmie,
The high resolution image of "Kathryn" is stunning! But I would love to see this masterpiece in person. There ought to be an actual show of the ARC winners and finalists that we can all attend and view!
Tonight, I just visited my good friend Christoper Smith who deservedly got the third place prize in sculpture. He was having an open studio drawing session at his studio, which I participated in for the first time. Over in the corner next to some gray photography backdrop paper was his winning piece, "Tidal Rhythms". Chris said humorously that this is his part of that brick and mortar show I wished to see. Truly worth the visit!
So Jimmie, I want to drive out and see your drawing of "Kathryn" as well. I want to hang out with you up and coming "Living Masters"! Can I make an appointment?

I want to make an appointment too! But good god, it'll have to take at least 14-15hrs flight to your location from Singapore! But it's definitely worth to see "Kathryn" in real-time! I'm really happy with your new achievements, Jimmie!

Quite funny (I like the word 'funny') you mentioned that, because I think the high res pic on the site is way off. ARC sent an e-mail asking if any changes were needed before they print it in their catalog. I immediately sent them better versions of 'kathryn' and 'angelina'. The color, contrast, and sharpness are off.

You give me more kudos than I deserve. No need for the drive to Jersey, I'll bring it with me to Philly along with others that I think look ok. Sorry Marcus, Singapore might be tough!
The 'brick and mortar' show will be out of the trunk of my car. The opening reception will be April 10th near Garth's place in Philly, no food or drinks will be served, please bring your own. As silly as it sounds, that would be kinda cool if a bunch of us got together and put on a 'trunk' show. The 'back seats' would be for works in progress.
Thanks again Garth and Marcus.
