Bill Whitaker Workshop April 2004 in Scottsdale

In order to enrich my personal portfolio, I find it helpful to try to get a handshake and hello from anyone I can at the Scottsdale Artist's School. It is a benefit when trying for scholarships to have met the instructor and hope they have seen some of your stuff before you go for the freebie. Now that my strategy is out, I wanted to share a few photos of a couple of our members and their mentor.

I know there will be a few more threads out there, as Linda Tracy Brandon, (whose piece was stupendous, but I know when people shove cameras in your face, sometimes you want to slug them) Chris Saper, (skipped out early on me) and the boys were there.

First we find the musical entertainment, and his banjo.
Next Dr. Gary and his model Hugh, and finally Michael and Irish, one of my favorite models.

Makes you want to cry just thinking of how much fun this must have been!

Debra,

Gary's and Michael's paintings just show how much better everybody does when I don't teach at all.

William fiddles while students learn!

Bill

It is all about NURTURING! And bluegrass music!

Thanks for giving me a few minutes of your time, I enjoy your site and posts in the forums. The more I read the less time I have to try all the cool stuff I have learned and even just walking in on the end of a workshop, seeing how the students responded to the instruction, beats the heck out of watching a video. Maybe it has to do with the smell of linseed oil.

Hope to see you longer next time.
