Tribute in Light: Portrait of a Hero




Cynthia asked me to post my 9/11 Firefighter painting here also.

I found this portrait particularly difficult to paint. Artistically because there was so little reference available (all of it from very small flash photographs) and emotionally because of how Doug died. (You can read more about him in the link to the CBS News website, below.)

Michele,

Very sensitive, especially with bad references. That does sound like a lot of pressure!

Not to be off subject or insensitive, but I was curious if the TV spot brought you any more work?
