Here is my model stand. It is 3.5 feet x 4 feet, and 19" high.

The top is just 3/4 plywood sub-flooring. In this photo it does not have the carpet on it yet. There is a sturdy frame underneath on casters. The finish wood is mortise and tenon and raised panel construction. One of the panels opens on full extension draw slides for storage space. The wood is unfinished in this photo. It is made from poplar since at the time I made it I did not have a big enough supply of cherry on hand for the large panels. I constructed this myself since I wanted a model stand that would be a piece of cabinetry equal to the raised paneling throughout my home/Studio.

Oh I will accept orders if anyone might want one like it. I am a pretty good cabinet maker as well. Remember that thread about woodworking and painters?

This was photographed in my temporary studio space. The room is very small only 9.5x13 feet, with only a 7.5 foot ceiling.

I am building an addition on my home for a new studio that will be 20x18 feet with 14 foot cathedral ceilings. With a palladium window at the north end of the studio 4 feet off the floor with the fan top of the window going right up to within 3 inches of the ceiling.

The design of this new space is very much like NC Wyeth's Chadds Ford Studio before the addition. Not quite as big as his.

Now this addition is still not complete (foundation was put in a month ago.) But I will post photos in the studio section as it progresses.
