Greetings from a fellow artist!

hello all! Well, I realize that I am not as talented as most of the people on this forum, but I am an artist all the same, in my own little world! :-) I really enjoy reading everyone's posts and you have no idea how much I am learning from you! If I could be half as good as everyone here, I would be a happy woman! If I need inspiration, this is where I go.

Since this is an introductory section, I suppose I will share a bit about me...I was raised in New Mexico most of my life, on a horse ranch in the Sandia mountains. I moved all around the country after that, attended a few universities until I finally graduated last year with a Graphic Design and Fine Arts degree. As with any life, I had my ups and downs, sucesses and failures, but all the while, I always had painting to fall back on. It seemed to cheer me up, relax me, make me forget what a bad day I may have been having at the time...I had the perfect model too! My 6 year old son, Jake. He is in the drawing that I posted, different ages of him. He wants to be an artist like me someday...and he already is very good!

I recently got married to an art lover - dutchman of sorts. We tied the knot in Delft, Holland in May of last year. While I was there, I had a chance to drool all over Rembrandt originals and Vermeer masterpieces! An incredible feeling! We travelled thruought France, Belgium, Holland, England and Germany, and hit an art museum in each country. I was humbled by the Masters...if they only knew that little old me was learning great things from works they had done hundreds of years ago...

So, there you have it! I love to paint, write short stories, travel and work on my 102 year old victorian house (and boy, does it need WORK!). I am thinking of starting my own business, but am not sure how to begin. I already sell everything I paint, and have no reserve. I suppose that is a good thing...But I want to be a pro like most of you! I appreciate every one of the artists on this forum, and thank them for teaching me something new every single day. You are all incredible people! Thank you in advance for reading my little old bio, and check out my web site if you like, http://nsstc.uah.edu/~geary/ You can comment on it if you get a wild hair!

Have a fabulous day everybody!
