The setting, the sparklers, the light - I've lived scenes like this, so your painting brings it all back.

Alex--
Personal and universal. An unbeatable combination! I remember those "endless" summers.
(A side note: I'm intrigued by the way my perception of the overall value range of the figures changes between viewing the detail shots and the overall composition view. Shows how one's perception of any given area is determined by the value range staked out in the entire composition.)
