Hello Jan,
That's a very good idea. I am looking forward to seeing more selfportraits on your blog.
I would like to take part in this original project, and I think I will contact you when I paint one that I feel I can post.
Sincerely,
Karine

I think it is a great idea. I have seen blogs by artists who do a painting a day a put it up on their blogs. Rather ambitious, wouldn't you say?!

Hi Jan,
The last time I did a self portrait was in 1999 for a class project, which was modeled after an Old Master's work. With this portrait the intent was to revisit the teachings of my mentor and to jarr my memory what I have to watch out for. I guess I really had to pry the information out of my brain, since the portrait turned out rather serious looking!
Maybe you can use it for your blog. Here is the link

Thanks for your contribution Enzie! Your portrait is already on the blog. I like it. It has indeed an 'Old masters' feeling, the way she looks into the viewers eye...

I'm looking forward to your selfportrait Karine! I see that you are located in ALBI. Thirty years ago I visited the Lautrec museum in beautiful Albi. Are there as much litho ateliers?

Yes, Tomasin, the idea is working so far. I 'm hoping in the future for some photographical contributions also. By the way, the painting on the front of your website is really captivating! It is not a perfect, technical smooth classical painting, but what an expression!
