Brenna & Callie

Hi all,

Brenna & Callie are 8 (twins) and best of friends. This is a 30" x 40" oil. The setting is at the private beach park/dock for their house.

With the winters so long here, I think it will be nice to have a summer scene to warm up by.

Hi Linda,

I've been admiring your wonderful portrait. The setting is terrific, and the girls have such a nice rapport. Did you use more than one photo for this compostion, or a series of photos? I'll bet the clients were pleased!

Mary

Hi Mary,

Here's a post of the final draft composition. I work in digital - so the final draft is a combination - in this case it's of 6 photos that are then manipulated in Photoshop (stretched bodies for example).

Thanks, Mary - I'm glad you like it and I appreciate the feedback.

Linda

Linda,

I missed this when you first posted it. It's beautiful - love the colors in it, and how naturally the girls relate to each other!

Color?

I never know how close the color is to the work. I really like the first image's color. This has a feel not unlike paintings of several Americans about 100 years ago especially in the legs of the one little girl. The names escape me....I'll keep thinking.
