ARC website includes SOG and forum members
Just a heads up -- Forum member Tim Tyler was just included on the Art Renewal Center website. His link is here.
I also noticed SOG member Marvin Mattelson has been added to their site. His link is here.
Congratulations to you both!

Not a dead master, yet
Thanks Mari.
I've been on the ARC site for about a year now. I'm also on their list of Recommended Ateliers for those that are interested.
Virgil Elliot, William Whittaker and Kirk Richards (all SOG Forum contributors) as well as myself are among the 28 charter members of their Living Masters Gallery.
It's a great honor to be on the same Internet Gallery as the Great Master painters whose work I admire so much.

Thanks, Marvin, for the acknowledgement about my being on the ARC Living Masters Site.
I haven't posted here often enough for folks to get to know me and vice versa, but I would like to shamelessly let everyone know that I'm on the cover of the June issue of American Artist (which hits the newsstands next Tuesday) and also have a nice profile included in the issue.
This sort of thing doesn't come around very often, so I hope you don't mind my mentioning it here.

Kirk,
I'll make a special point to pick one up. Congratulations!
You too, Master Marvin Mattelson (kind of "M"ie but has a nice ring to it).

Whoops, Marvin, I guess what grabbed me as new was the "Living Masters" section. That is an incredible accomplishment.
Kirk, au contraire, your posts are always articulate and I've looked your work up many times (gandygallery.com) because of your sage posts. I'll also fork over the four bucks at the newsstand; I look forward to the article. Certainly you should also post any workshops you offer on the Forum. There are some serious questions about available instruction in Texas.
Anyway, congratulations to all of you.

Cover boy
Kirk,
Congrats on the cover and article. I'll certainly keep an eye out for it. It's always nice to be acknowledged.

A couple of other SOG artists: Allan Banks is also on ARC and I believe Paul McCormack is too. At least I know that Fred Ross, founder of ARC, purchased one of Paul's paintings, so I assume Paul is there.
Congratulations, Kirk, Tim and Marvin!

Master Marvin Mattelson
Good grief, it does have a nice alliterative ring to it. Just stay in that section (Living Masters) for a long time Marvin!
Corgratulations to both you and Kirk!
Sincerely,

I believe that's only the 75% of it. In some circles it's Marvelous Master Marvin Mattelson.
It's quite a Mantle, to be sure.

The Big M
I'm musing may Marvelous Master Marvin Mattleson manage not mainly his mantle, but maintain his merciful meddling.
Sincerely,
