Clayton's charcoal drawing - Anka




Here is a mass drawing I did a few years back. It's almost painting with charcoal as I see it. The advantages of this type of drawing is that it can greatly enhance one's paintings as far as values and edges. Something line drawing does not help with.

The technique is simple, smear some powdered charcoal on a sheet of lightly colored paper and erase out the lights and use stick charcoal to put on the darks.
