Hello from Naperville, IL
Hello! I know many of you, and have been one of those Unregistered lurkers for many years. I love looking at the work that's posted here.
I work with portraits, figures, and still life. I studied at the University of Illinois but most of my education has come from the direction and support of online fora like this one. I hope to learn much more from all of you. Thanks for including me.
Thanks and glad to be here.

Welcome, Lisa!
I have seen evidence of your presence here, over the past several years, and I know you have in fact posted works as a guest; at least you did a few years ago. You belong here!
Thanks for sharing two very strong works. We have already discussed your landscape portrait behind the scenes. I love the profile of that little girl! Tell us more, and please show us more!
It's good to have you on board officially.
Garth

Lisa,
Let me welcome you from all the way here. You have two very worthy pieces -- I especially like the way you have given the impression of depth in the landscape background in the second portrait, and the figure itself looks very relaxed and natural. The little girl profile is very well done also.
Congratulations, I

Dear Lisa - it's nice to meet you. I had heard your name before you introduced yourself here, so it's nice to here from you in person as it were.
Your work is very accomplished and I especially like the profile drawing of the girl. Very subtle and light touches but giving so much information at the same time. I like the design elements of the stray hair, and also the soft areas of undefined form that are contrasted with the more definite lines and details of the hair, the features and the hair band. A very well thought out work.

I think some of us will be learning from you! Beautiful drawing, I love profiles, and the painting is nicely done. Can't wait to see more.
