New Sister and My Brother
Must say, this is a seriously unwanted group, we OTHER painters!
But those of you who come by, I do appreciate.
This is pretty self-explanatory. The shot of my brother's wedding was such a great piece, I decided they need a painting for a belated gift/birthday present, but I must move... have to put it in the Priority Mail to get there by Thursday. Or close, as is our family tradition.

Debra, this is lovely, and I know they will treasure it.
You know why there's not much watercolor portraits? It's too **** difficult! I admire those who can do it, and especially those, like you, who do it so well.

Thank you Julie!
I have been sitting since Wednesday when I mailed it waiting to hear from my clients by force!!
I guess they were so happy with it all that they were showing it off for two days and forgot to call me. AND the ultimate complement -- They have chosen to have it professionally framed! This is a lot from a family of craft folk. I mean, my brother and I made the URN for my father's funeral last year! There is sort of an attitude that things SHOULD be made by hand!
When we like it enough to turn it over to professionals, it must be of great value.
Thank you for your note about watercolor. I am in the middle of a monster again. Full sheet, not a lot of flesh. I hate backgrounds. It is figurative, not a portrait but I will post it here, just for the exercise! It is a lot more work than any of the other media I work in. Labor, time and real work!

Here it is after two days work. I need to put in the fiddle faddle, but it is a lot of layers of color:
