Another newcomer reporting in
Hello All
I've been a member here for a couple of weeks and have spent most of my time looking around this great site. I've learned a lot in a few short weeks! So you can put a face with the name, I did this self-portrait last night . Please overlook the dorky costume - I've painted myself 5 times since October and I'm running out of ideas. (Thanks to Ingres for the costume.)
By day, I'm a computer jockey for a large medical university. A couple of years ago I took up painting again after a few decades of inactivity. Since last October, I've concentrated solely on portraiture. I set a personal goal at that time of painting 25 portraits in a year and so far I'm up to number 21.
In my spare time, I study French and classical piano.
That's me in a nutshell. I have a lot to learn and I look forward to your suggestions and critiques.
Robert

Hi Robert, Welcome to the forum. I also like your portrait, dorky costume and all! I love classical piano as well. Unfortunately my little baby grand sits and collects dust, and has for years. I stopped that when I got hooked on painting.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.
