Congratulations Janel. I think this is by far your most successful and cohesive painting to date. I think you did a terrific job in unifying two very divergent pieces of source material. I look forward to seeing more.

Marvin,

As you know, your opinion means a great deal to me so I thank you for making my day.

I questioned, more than once, if I was going to be able to pull off making it look like this pose actually took place. The three photos used were taken more than a year from each other using different cammeras with different number of pixels, one photo taken under artificial lighting with a blue background and the other taken under natural light with a green background. There was a lot of work to do in Photoshope before I even started preparing the canvas.

(I had to use an old photo because of braces.)

Oh, one more thing; Grandma and Grandpa are VERY, VERY happy. This is "the one" I've been telling you about and I am overjoyed that they are so happy.
