smile Another portrait

This is dead of Ingres, I draw it when I looking for his collections in library. Pencil on A4 paper. Any suggestions?

Very very nice drawing. And the subject was still, too!

Drawing the masters is a great practice, and photo realism in drawing is very popular. How long did you take?

My pencil sketches are polar opposite of this - ten minutes, and the lines are "one shot", a practice which I greatly enjoy for its freedom and spontineity. I probably could not do this as you have done.

Thank you

Thank you for your opinion, I spent for this drawing about one and half hours.

I like this drawing very much, because Ingres is my favourite artist.

You have good taste! The sensitivity you show in capturing texture and detail is inspiring. I wish I knew how to add arrows to an image as Cynthia does to indicate two lines that might benefit from some softening: a light one along the chin just under ear, and a dark one for the crease of the eye. Perhaps the master himself drew them this way? Wonderful!

What a wonderful dramatic drawing! Keep up the good work. I am interested to read how this could be improved even further.
