Blue Eyed Sweety

I finished her yesterday. My sister and brother-in law know her from church (her parents won the commission at our church auction!) and they said I captured her quiet sweetness which is exactly what I was after.

Thank you for your input and thanks for looking!

Patty

I should mention the little "moon" you see on her neck is a strawberry birthmark she was nervous about showing and which mom was questioning. I think it looks like a moon and is very sweet.

Patricia,

You have really captured something special here. This is a beautiful, beautiful drawing!! I absolutely love it. What a sweet , lovely girl. And I like that you included the birthmark - after all, it's part of who she is. But you've included it with the perfect touch, or lack of emphasis.

Just beautiful.

David

Pat, I second David. You have captured the essence of her youth and that is what its all about. Congratulations on a well executed drawing.

Sincere regards,
mischa

Pat, I guess I've said it already in the Critiques section but I love this drawing. I think it's your best yet and I know there will be more to come. There's a silvery, alive quality in it. Beautiful!

David, Mischa, Alexandra,
Your positive comments mean allot to me. I experienced the greatest rush throughout this drawing! It flowed out with little struggle. I wish all drawings were this much fun!!

Patty, This is so very beautiful. I know her family must be thrilled. It is everything that this type of portrait should be. Is it charcoal or graphite? How big?
Lovely!
Louise
