I'm looking for Andrew Loomis books

Does anyone have copy of the following Andrew Loomis Book they would sell at a reasonable price, or does anyone know where any of these books can be obtained reasonably?

You could try Amazon. They frequently act as go-between for people selling used books. Or try Ebay.

I have also seen some Loomis books posted in their entirety (illustrations and all) on the web, though I don't know if any of them are the books you're looking for.

I was about to post the same web site address, myself.

I found this site by Googling Loomis. I have downloaded the entire book. What a chore! But, the illustrations came in (or I should say they print) blue. There is a little color in them, but mostly blue.

What I did, in an effort to have a copy of some kind (poor quality that it is) is to find a lending library that had a copy. I scanned in the illustrations, and they print out much better. Still not book quality, but very much better than blue.

I like the book a lot. Loomis seems to have a way of simplifying things. I would love to have a copy of the book, though. I poke around at garage sales and flea markets. One day, I'll find it.

This book, and others by Loomis, are available on ebay and other sites, but they are usually quite pricey -- from $100 to $600.

For anyone who wants the text the site you mention is not bad. If you know of a way to download the whole thing at one whack, I'd like to hear how it's done.

You can use the emule software found at

http://emule-project.net/

and search for and download many Loomis books. It is a peer to peer network. It does not come easy and may take hours for your machine to get it all but it is out there. You will find lots of other good stuff there like Hogarth Burnes books.
