A quick search reveals that Buddy didn't go to Brown. At least the Brown alumni magazine seems to think he didn't.

They credit him with a law degree from Marquette. He got a B.A. in political science from Fairfield University, another Jesuit school, as a further search revealed.

He must have transferred there from St. Louis. A Buddy story that I can contribute came from a discussion of the knowledge of good and evil in a religion class. When one of us suggested that it was not possible to to reach the age of reason without developing a conscience or superego, somebody else settled the point simply by uttering the phrase, "Buddy Cianci".
As I said, always thoroughly check any statement about Buddy, particularly if he was the source.
