Since I'm building a studio space from scratch, this seems an ideal addition (if, perhaps, I depreciate the "yikes!" expense--about $500, or $1400 for the 3-light set.)

Actually, I won't bother to depreciate the asset. For this kind of item, I just "aesthetically amortize" the expense over the life of my intended use of the asset. I intend to paint for another 15 years, about half of it indoors under artificial light. Would it be worth $33/year (plus the cost of bulb replacements) to have this light? Of course it would.

I just took in a large supply of bulbs, though (5000K, 2100 lumens, 30 watt); perhaps some combination of those and the Lowel Blender would be useful. (I can't aesthetically amortize the cost of the Lowel three-light set, until my work begins to generate international demand. A/k/a Ain't gonna happen.)
